Let's just forget for a minute that there is a salary cap. If you could put together your NRL Dream Team for 2015 what would it look like and how many Manly players do you think would make it * ?? I'm discounting Burgess, SBW, and Te'o as they are off to rugby.

I'd go

Snake - best in the business as far as all round game is concerned
Mansour - this guy is a metre eating machine and good finisher
Killer - all class
Hurrell - hard to stop and getting better with experience
Hayne - not a fan of his consistency (or lack of) but when "on" he is hard to leave out
Thurston - quality
DCE - behind a good pack and with other attacking options for the defence to consider he would shine
Scott - proven performer
Smith - obviously not a fan favourite outside of Melbourne, but he is streets ahead of any other dummy half.
G Burgess - Plenty of impact from this big unit. May well turn out to be as good as Sam
Taumololo - hard fringe runner who is on the improve
Cordner - one of the best edge forwards going around
Gallen - high workrate and can play middle or edge

Graham - another strong high workrate prop
Parker - can cover front row and lock and has good second phase options
Bromwich - up and comer with plenty of grunt
Bird - best utility forward in the comp.

A couple of others that have impressed me this year are Josh Jackson, Ben Matulino and Dale Copley.

* True supporter award goes to the first person to name Manly 1-17

Snake – Attack and defence both brilliant and reads the play the best.
Mansour – Like a forward on the wing and fast.
Killer – The best centre in the NRL.
Hayne – Dump the ego and sheer brilliance remains.
Inglis – Only place to put him but has to be in the side.
Foz – ½ of the best halves pairing in the NRL.
DCE – The other half of the best pairing in the NRL.
Martin Taupau – 190cm beast
Matty B – Have gone with nivia over Smith purely on defensive capability
G Burgess – Battering ram
Josh Jackson – Like his ability (not his chicken wings)
Choc – Still prefer his movin and shakin!
Gallen – Just cannot leave him out

Aaron Woods – only young and just starting to come into his own.
James Graham – Great offload and can play long minutes
T-Rex – Super battering sub (yes we know he can)
Burher- best utility forward in the comp.

I challenge anyone to beat this team! You'd be lucky to leave the field with all four limbs in tact with that pack and the bench.

My Manly dream team would be:

FB - Wombat
WG - Snake
CE - Killer (vc)
CE - Bozo (c)
WG - Mongo
FE - Cliffy
HB - Cherry
PR - Lurch
HK - Tooves
PR - Wardy
SR - Beaver
SR - Igor
LK - Mal Reilly

Res - Skivy
Res - Gifty
Res - Kitey
Res - Choc

Coach - Biscuits

Snake and Wombat both have to be there and as Snake is faster I've put him on the wing. I chose Irvine on the other wing over Dale Shearer, even though I was a big fan of Rowdy's. And Matai would have started but since Bozo also had to be in the side and I have Stanton as coach, he gets a bench spot.

The Australian Netball Team this Saturday.

The Australian Women's Cricket Team next Saturday.

All having a dip in my pool. And then sunbaking and drinking various cocktails after their swim.

(My pool is not a very big one so I have to split them up.)

Does this mean I am sexist?

Sorry guys I just can't bring myself to dream about football players. ;)

Disclaimer: Sorry to anyone I have offended. Please take this post as a light-hearted joke about different sports and how women have gained more notoriety in their sports pursuits and this is well deserved due only to great sporting prowess that I have not been blessed with by the way.

I have nothing but the greatest respect for all women and their wonderful achievements.
