The bookies have listed the DragQueens as favourites to beat the Mighty Sea Eagles ....

Well. many have said you have to hit the bottom before climbing back up ... having the wooden spoon favourites tipped to beat us will do me for the bottom ..

How has it come to this ?

This game will tell us all we need to know about this team ... RIP in Manly and flog the mugs !!!!!!!!!!!
 
Baring a few injuries that have caused a reshuffle of the deckchairs we have the same team that has coped hidings from two of the heavyweights. What hope do we have of beating Illawarra, historically our bogey team?
Our only hope is that Illawarra are more inept than us. Sad. Two great clubs now fighting it out to avoid the wooden spoon (along with a few others, of course) when in the past it was a given both clubs would be battling for a top four spot.
We should be playing for the 'Trent Barrett Cup'.

Maybe the Penns should get you to run the club @Woodsie . You could reinstate Barrett as coach, drop Saab to reserve grade so that Garrick can play on the right wing, and slap Marty around the chops for being soft and selfish.

Problem solved.
 
Despite the fact the Dragons have been a joke for most of the last 10 years.... our record against them is worse than just about any other club. That's even when we were semi strong. We beat them about one on 4 times. I'm even less confident this time.
 
Of course the Dragons are favourites. In rugby league parlance, we have been playing like absolute busteds for a long period of time. We are bad. Like, really, really bad. The only teams that we might not suck as much as (and I wouldn't be confident of beating either of them) are the Broncos and the Bulldogs, and they're playing each other this weekend. Throw in the facts that the Dragons are coming off a win, have a great recent record against us, and we never win in Wollongong. It's a no-brainer.

Can we win? Of course - it's rugby league and there's always a chance. But is there any objective evidence to suggest we will win? None at all.

That aside: Go, Manly!

If the Dragons are favourites (rightfully so in my mind) and they were favourites for the spoon, are we the new favourites for the spoon?
1 out of the last 6 against the saints
almost 20 years since we’ve won in the gong
Due for a win (got to want to win first)
we can win, all the players have to do is change their attitude and turn up for ea other, then do it for 80, we need to aim up, rosters won’t be what wins this game, it will be the side who wants most, holds the ball and grinds the win out. Cmon lads kill the dragon voodoo and turn your form slump around on the red V, give us something.

Sad thing is the bookmakers may be on the mark.
Just goes to show, how much we are behind the rest of the pack after poor recruitment, player re-signing, fitness, injury and maybe even coaching. It looks like it will be a long long year.

OR .. we could get Dessie ... win one of 12 comp games .. still put Garrick on the wing ... becoming stone motherless last ... tipped to be beaten by the wooden spoon favourites .. and you could still be a #&*@ ..

But then again, the only constant in that equation is the last point ... all the rest can change ..

Agree we can win .. I've tipped us .. but that may be the kiss of death ...

Yep I see another good forwards performance from us. I really like our 4 man prop rotation. Let’s hope another week of training has helped the backs a bit. We gotta beat these guys away at sone point. Hope that’s Friday.
 
Dragons at home and our side in horrible form... only a man of the match performance from dce will get us a win. He is supposed to be our best player and captain. Its all upto him, if the forwards rip in like last week then we have a chance but we cant keep literally throwing them away and it starts with him. He needs to think run 1st and he needs to stand deeper he always gets rushed and teams know he doesn't respond well to that pressure. He needs to adjust and stand deeper... walker at fb (****ing sigh) we have a great center playing fb. Ah dessy why and now no cust 🙁
Dragons by 14 unless dce has a mom game
