origin night. Love it or hate it be prepared to be pissed about by the networks and the nrl over kick off time. While origin is a money spinner the yearly ****fest dealt to the customer becomes more drawn out by the game
8pm means 8.25 kick off. No wonder management is at odds with players over money. Math is not there strong suit, nor timekeeping, nor consistency , or running the game, etc etc
Ch 9 could start the coverage earlier and have meaningful contribution to the footy fan but poor production and a lack of connection with footy fans mean we get the 1-17 and a stretch of adds. Yaaaawwwn fest
But no, with falling crowds, hard to sell out the games, the premier event of the year will be mostly out of touch for the next genertation of fans. To attend for kids is way to late and with hallf time closer to 9.30 the ultimate spectacle in its entireity is way out of reach for most kids . Maybe thats why the refs like to lock in a result by halftime
My 12 yo will be rolled off to bed at half time ensuring thousands of parents will miss anything the half time sponsors have to say as they tuck in the little fans. This s a greenterd **** up, pure and simple. We all know its happening so the nrl must be ok with this money grab at the expense of the game. Kudos to the out of touch admin. Take a bow dickhead
Ill do my best to avoid anything but the game, and any product advertised after 8 pm and before kick off will feel my consumer wrath. As if anyone drinks VB anyway.
Go the blues
