There's a blog in the DT asking if it's time for Max to go. The majority of bloggers want him gone.

Just posted this in case anyone missed it or are interested in it.

I'm surprised the DT lawyers are letting that run.  Delmege is painted as a helpless drunk and broke to boot.

Funny I would have thought Max supporters would be among the core constituency of the Tele...guess they can not type....

If the Telegraph say Max is a bad man, I better get in behind him !! The telecrap very seldom back the correct horse

I can't believe the journo actually refers to himself as Bulldog haha

Bulldog....some hard hitting journalism. Not that the SMH is much better these days (well Weidler got panned on Media Watch last week)

Interesting comment about Robbie though supposedly being banned from associating with the players and not allowed in the dressing room.  Can anyone shed any light on whether this is true or not?

LOL the very 1st comment is a howler

Geez you dribble some **** Dean. How’s about some more pressing issues in football, like the standard of refereeing, you gibberer.

thanks for the link just went and had a look some interesting comments had i had known i would of added my 2 cents.

found this and thought it was most interesting

The day Delmege signed Monaghan behind Des’ back was the day the Manly coach lost all respect for the owner. Max shouldn’t have done it. Monghan was told he was unwanted and Max went ahead and signed him anway. The football side of the business should be left to Dessie.

id like to see max try and oust des

I think there would be a lynch mob come after him and his posse of board members if they even tried.

Well it goes a long way to explaining why he wasn't offered a contract renewal when asked for one - fortunately sanity prevailed and he got his extension with the KPI's that it should have had in it from day one.

After reading some of the comments of you didn't know who Max was you would think that he is some drunken bum who lives on a park bench at Manly.

At his age and with as much money as he supposedly has who cares if he wants to go to lunch every day and have a few beers.

Interesting comment about Robbie though supposedly being banned from associating with the players and not allowed in the dressing room.  Can anyone shed any light on whether this is true or not?
[/quote]  Over the ears there have been several drunken blow ups in corporate boxes in the Jane Try stand hinted at in the Manly Daily and Sydney Confidential.  He has been escorted from the ground several times I believe.

Many of Max's fans would prefer not to post on the Telegraph blog - for the reason many believe that it is anti-Manly and biased. Even some here will support that suggestion.

There was support for him on MSWE before it went down, with a few other agendas there for all and sundry to see.
