From Herald - article on Matai being week to week proposition:

Manly coach Des Hasler revealed Matai isn't the only injury concern for his second-placed Sea Eagles ahead of Friday's blockbuster with Wests Tigers at Brookvale.

Although the softly-spoken coach wouldn't elaborate on who else was carrying injuries, he will give them all as much time as possible to prove their fitness but is expecting changes to the team named on Tuesday.

Last week he rested five-eighth Travis Burns due to the return of Matai and Jamie Lyon (hamstring), but said it was likely Burns, Jack Afamasaga and Sione Finefeuiaki would be seriously considered.

"We were in a situation (last week) where we had a lot of players back on deck and the injury ranks were cleared but we've come up with a couple of injuries out of the game last week," said Hasler.

"Travis will again figure in the mix as will a number of other players.

"But I can't say anything about that."

sounds to me like Beaver may be carrying a niggle with jack and sione being seriously considered.
