As a massive DCE fan loved the try laid on for Snake & some of his defensive work - Again but.....noticed a pattern of fending or stepping a player, then after creating a hole in front seemed to slide sideways & even travel backwards at times. Imo he is a natural ball player & the best time to hit an outside runner is when defenders have to race inwards ,especially when a hole has been created. The problem was when THAT runner was not there DCE just skated laterally. Noticed early in the 2nd half there was a hole ahead & he played direct & backed himself - only a fingernail from coming out the other side - seemed Des told the kid to back himself instead of just looking to pass when space presents itself.
