Looking for that strike backrower to bend the line - create havoc & add that scare factor to opposing teams??
The good news - he is already at Manly & by 2016 will be ready for the top grade.
Dont worry about age - get him involved in the trials - maybe even the 9's tournament & watch him terrorise any defensive line.
Yes its a big step up from the flimsy defence in the Holden Cup, but this bloke has everything to suggest he will handle it.....we all keep looking for that strike power - X Factor style forward - this is him.
Lets sign him long term & let him loose - could be our most explosive forward by 2017 imo....
Addison Demitriou is the name - bring the big bloke on Barrett - completes the puzzle.

Young, hungry and has pace. Wouldn't look out of place on the roosters bench. Whilst pretty much all our forwards just don't have the speed.

I've been pretty impressed with Demetriou's effort in the few games I've seen him play. He's a fast nuggetty type that would be a cast-iron bitch to tackle easily, or to really nail with a hit. I think he'll do well in the coming years.

And why not?

Not like we have the most potent forward pack in the comp, so why not try him out?

It'd be worth trying him in the Sharks game, as there's nothing to lose. Whatyya say Tooves?

Tooves: "Yeah, nah. We'll stick with last weeks team. We're still playing for pride."

I'd be giving him a go. Maybe just as an impact player, 15 mins spurts to start with. But the kid is a wrecking ball, and as others have noted, this is something we just don't have currently.

I hope that Demetriou gets his chance. He will need to get fitter for first grade and Manly will bring him along slowly, no doubt he will cause mayhem once he gets into first grade. Wrecking ball is how I describe how he shatters defences.

He may even be our right centre, with Killer at pivot.

2016

1. Snake
2. Taufua
3. Demetriou
4. Skivvy
5. Tommy T
6. Killer
7. Sid

Looking forward to seeing him go in first grade... We need some spark & enthusiasm.
I think the young blokes will add this.

NYC are Top 4, thats why.
Let the kids enjoy a finals series at full strength @

Deme also limped off injured on Friday.

The NRL Team have only their bad attitude to blame for the last 2 losses.
They should go all out to secure a win

I'd give him a run in 1st grade this week. The 20's have 4th locked up, perfect time to give him a taste of 1st grade and see how he goes.

He used to be at the Roosters and a lot of other clubs, but got the chop because of bad attitude and other dramas

Do we play him at centre or FR or lock? I want to see him be in the number 17 next year he will be our impact.

He is a forward, he wouldn't last long in the centres in cup or first grade. He was struggling for air against the Roosters on Friday

Mauler, he reinjured his knee late in the game. With 4th spot sewn up I'd reckon he'll get a week off to rest it.

Next year he is too old for NYC and the Penrith guys have loved to promote young guys even if it's a bit of an unknown as to whether they are ready or not. I reckon Barrett will give some of these kids every opportunity to grab a spot next year.

Would love to see a legit battle for the wing between Hiku and Turbo. Would love to see a couple of back row spots be open and given to whoever earns it.

The best forward Manly have is Jake T, outstanding and no other forwards come close. Myles and Jake will be the two best.

Manly don't have a Specialist Winger, Taufua is strong but moves like a backrower and if you put Tom, Hiku, Gutho etc in there, it will not work, as they are all very good fullbacks but are Not wingers and that is where the weakness of manly will be shown up against the good sides for next season. If Tom or Gutho had been on the wing against the Roosters on Friday night they would have been Obliterated

But that's how it SHOULD BE! There's no such thing as an "incumbent" after a year of mediocrity. There are only a few players that are certain starters in their chosen position. Killer, Skivvy, DCE, Snake, Jake, Jorge and a few others but as far as I'm concerned a LOT of players are going to have to turn up every week or get splinters.

Addy was a wrecking ball in the gold coast game

Demetriou is just a wrecking ball.

Demetriou is the guy I think can make the impact we need. He is a wrecking ball

the kid is a wrecking ball

STOP IT!

PLEASE

Please guys, I can't get the picture out of my mind of him swinging Miley-esc, even twerking against Thicke's crotch.
