For all of the Panthers mistake ridden effort , still have to give a big rap to Manly 's defensive resolve on Saturday . Really committed , much better organized and most tackles sticking against a side that still had big mobile forwards and some elusive backs . Got a lot of time for Uate and Jorge but their defensive reads can be a liability some time however again the big improvement in defence against the Panthers was the more determined and effective effort over the full eighty . Certainly hope that Manly can replicate this in their remaining matches .

Well not having Aku bolting in and giving away a couple of tries certainly helped on the weekend. I agree our defense was excellent but a little surprised they didnt attack our edges more than they did tbh. We were pretty solid up the guts but they never reverted to Plan B..
