Ivan Cleary - Coach of the year
Luke Brookes - Rookie of the year

No complaints so far.

PS 1st complaint - Russell Crowe just arrived.

Can't see us winning anything tonight. Our poor end of year will hurt DCE. And Lyon had a good year. But not a great one. We will see. :)

I don't really rate these awards and I'm surprised most people do. We spend all year bagging out the journo's for their lack of credibility and the commentators for their bias and they are the ones who vote each week. Bit hypocritical to put it up on a pedestal IMO.

Jamie well deserved
You have lead us extremely well
Now before you retire you deserve another premiership- not this year but soon

Anyone know when the last time was a Manly coach won coach of year?

Most successful team of the decade, yet seems to be little acknowledgement

I thought the awards were pretty close to the mark.
Just nice not having Smith or Slater up there, and DCE rolling Cronk...good stuff.
....how funny is JT's laugh:D

Quote from NRL: "Only two players had ever been named Centre of the Year on three occasions with Lyon now surpassing Mick Cronin (Eels), Steve Ella (Eels) and Michael O'Connor (Dragons/Sea Eagles) as a four-time recipient."

We're so fortunate to have Killer in our club and still playing awesome.

Killer will easily slot into the next Manly's Greatest of all time team lineup and be immortalized as a Manly great.

Well done to all, but for Jamie....whoa!!! 4 Dally M's in the last 5 years, that is some achievement! Add to that Captain of the Year and he also won it a few years back as well with Kingy.

I loved Toovey's acceptance speech 'I asked Killer for some words and he just said 'thanks';.....pretty much sums up Jamie to me, what a legend!!

Killer is an absolute champion, has the footy brains, no ego with him, just a great quiet guy and his physique shows you don't have to be built like a huge tank either to be the best centre in the world

I too don't give great credence to these Awards (yes, because of who votes and thus judges them).

I said on Facebook, I'm not surprised Killer got skipper-of-the-year (but playing, I feel Skivi was better overall).

Naturally happy about DCE. Actually can't argue with a lot of the winners.

I especially applaud Ivan Cleary for his role in turning the Panthers around SO fast. (Brad Arthur deserves a mention in this category too, IMO).

Thanks @"bob dylan" for the Thread and Updates.

I'm surprised we won anything, end of the day!

Well done Killer. Though I will admit I thought Skivy performed better this year. Just shows that we have the best centre pairing in rugby league.

Well done to DCE. This is why he is vital to our success over the next 10 years.

Sam Burgess as Lock of the year. He may have worn #13 for the Vermin but he's no more a lock than I am a flying winger. That was a luxury Souffs have had, playing a mobile prop at lock.

No argument with Ivan Cleary as coach of the year, he did a great job at Penrith. But I have to ask, what will it take for a Manly coach to win the award?
