Tonight is the most relaxed I have seen DCE play for a couple of years. He has been building slowly since the Cowboys match, but even when he tore the Dogs apart earlier in the year, there were still patches of nervous (make it up as I go) football. He now looks completely confident again in his own skin.

The kick chase was inspirational all night. The grubber to get a repeat set was mature. The passes to Uate were clever. A complete captain's knock tonight.

He seems to play excellent whenever Gordie sledges him. Tallis please sledge DCE every week...

I noticed he stayed out of things in the 1st 10.
I liked that because the great players seem to use that time to assess things and then boom.
A great leaders game.

you know how thurston is so good at being in the right spot at the right time - so often he makes the crucial last tackle, picks up the loose ball, covers the grubber in goal - this was DCE tonight

Playing well, need to give Green credit though, he has taken alot of pressure off DCE allowing him to be more selective with his plays.

Yep, I think this has had a massive impact on Chez. Green has proven himself a very good leader this year...you can see him take control of the side and he does the 1% plays really well, leaving the creativity to Chez.

The thing I am really liking about our attack this year (as opposed to the last few seasons) is the way we actually engage defenders and take the ball to the line. We seem to have a clear method.

Offloading Green would be a huge mistake. I agree he needs to play out his contract and an extension would not be a bad move imo.
