i think knowing the result from the Canberra Penrith game really did the damage. That more or less cemented us into the 8. Unfortunately Barett could not get them up.

The Canberra result had no bearing on the inept display that Manly dished out yesterday. It came down to Manly not showing up and allowing a team who all year has been no threat with the ball, to score 30 points. It was a black day and surely now the team get their act together or we get the same medicine next week.

Sadly, and for whatever the reason is, I think the horse has bolted.

I cannot see any way known to man that they can come back from the debacle that has been the last 4-5 weeks.

Not just a form slump, a form vanishing for the year.

I'd love to know why, or what's happened to cause this but sadly I think we are done.

We " might" make the top 8 based on what happens to St Merge but I can't see us winning another game , regardless of if that even means round 1 of the finals.

I'm sure some will dislike this ( believing there's always hope), but if you don't like me saying it then explain to me how and where you see us winning?

This end of the season there are plenty of players trying to get contract extensions at bottom clubs like Tigers, Dogs and Warriors.

Many years ago I watched Choppy play out of his skin in the last round at Brooky after being ordinary for months but now he was looking for a contract elsewhere.

I was nervous before the last two games for this reason and am already nervous about Sunday.

I honestly can't get the possibility that it was match fixing out of my head.

The dogs were paying like $4.30 yesterday afternoon. I'm not a betting man but even I was tempted to put some money down on that.

Canberra play the Knights and the Storm, who will no doubt rest half their squad.
2 very winnable games.

Why does everyone keep saying they are gone ?, especially the way us and the Cowboys are going.
Storm won't rest players. It'll be cronks last game at home and Bellamy doesn't want his sides rhythm to be lost

Cronks last game may be an overriding factor, but resting players is most certainly a good chance, if history is any guide, if my memory serves correctly.

Because next week is another week Mark . Fmd.

Just as last week was the same as this week Brad.

FMD indeed!

Not all of us have an effervescent opinion full of hope like you obviously do.

There's something very very wrong in the camp, I can see it, in fact most can see it but you continue to dislike me pointing this out, every single time I make a comment!

As I said in another thread , this is probably their last chance to get a win and gain some confidence, lose this week and they'll face a Panthers who have currently won 7 in a row and probably 8 after this weekend.

It's tough times , and I don't think they'll lift but I sure hope they do.

Just because I have that opinion doesn't make me a bad fan.

Panthers are due a loss though.
Lets hope it isn't this weekend.

I would be on tenterhooks if we had rolled into the semis on a 9 game run.

Out of all the weeks we need Penrith to win, keeps the dragons at bay, you know they won't come to the party to help us, dragons are specials in my books this weekend

Last time the storm rested players leading in to the finals they got dusted up by the warriors 1st v 8th in 2011. I'm pretty sure bellyache said he wouldn't rest players again so close to finals football

You'd only rest players who were carrying injuries. Nothing major, game on as usual.

we need cherry to lead and do something lol if we don't beat the Warriors I'm going to sack my foxtel.. almost did after the dogs lost.. Brown to center Kelly to reserves.. hastings in the 14. we need siro back he was starting to play really well. lane is a lazy massive goon he needs more time in reserves he is soft.

I agree with your Lane assessment but I think he's spent plenty of time in reserves at the Dogs,Warriors and this season at Manly.I just don't think he's any good
