Sam Burgess’ English-based manager has ruled out an imminent return to the NRL for the former South Sydney forward.

However, he left the door ajar for Australian clubs by quoting noted English writer Charles Dickens’ in relation to Burgess’ future.

“His contract with Bath has a couple of more seasons to run and he is currently training with the England squad,” lawyer Chris Caisley told The Australian by email.

“He is enjoying life in Bath and at this moment in time has no plans to return to the NRL. However, as Dickens wrote, albeit in a rather different context ...’never say never’.”

So in other words he has no intention of returning to the NRL this year. He is holding on to the fact he may get a spot in the english squad.

But from what i have read the scenario is assuming he was to not make the squad (which is likely) he would consider a return next season, or when his contract expires in 2017.

I cant see anyone fitting him under the cap this season anyway.

So we can expect him to sign before 30 June by the sound of things.

Not worth the money only desperate loser Clubs like Parra throw the kitchen sink at one player. He is better than Foran though!

Yes there are two categories of clubs who throw the kitchen sink at one star player. Parra is in the first category, 'desperate loser clubs'.

And by the way, of course Burgess has to deny he may want back into NRL.
Otherwise the English rugby selectors might hold that against him, and then his whole rugby adventure would be for nought.
