Bullemor...-----> bullys more

Im guessing it could be $450k per year. Manly seem to give out Ionger contracts at a slightly cheaper rate than market value. I like this tactic as we get the value for money and the player get the security. Win win and a great ploy!

Great deal if my guess is on the mark!
Would have thought slightly less but to suit both parties and no doubt priority soon will be an upgrade to Lehi and then beyond 27.
Even to a lesser extent Burbo but in both instances , can only anticipate a major reduction in Jake 's and Turbo "s future deals for whatever time so that naturally will assist no end

That negotiation with Jake, Tom and Ben could be a very sensitive and a delicate discussion.
Considering Jake is only getting older, I feel he is in no rush to walk away from the game as yet. He will play on but knows it will be with a big hair cut. If he takes anymore head knocks this year it will be a different storey.

Tommy is a very tricky one for us to navigate. His big frame is braking down and I really feel for him. He has previously come out and said he will take a pay cut to help the club. We could justify paying him 750k on his next contract as it’s always big risk.

Ben is playing for a significant upgrade. I think he has tightened up some lose areas of him game that I have been very critical off. If he maintains his upward trajectory he can easily command a pay rise.

Will be very interesting to see how Manly handle these negotiations but it will finally free up some money in the cap for a big dog prop.

$450,000 would be good for Manly - that's about the minimum going rate for any established first-grader these days.

the less money both jake and tom accept the more likely hood there is of a squad that may contend for a premiership. Look at raiders , everything is coming off the back of their forwards dominating . Imagine a manly team that had Tapine and Papalii in it with our existing backline!

If DCE was going to be allowed to be paid $450k under the cap by the NRL, then Jake would likely be $400k. I believe Tom will go down to $700k or $600k max, as he'll likely be moving into the centres in 2027.

That means it'll likely be a $1 million+ haircut between the two of them. That gives us enough money for Haas, so long that Haas is chasing a premiership, and not just money. If Haas is going for the money, he'll just stay in Brisbane.

I honestly think Koula moves on in 2027 to be a fullback elsewhere, or rugby union. In the same mould as Tabuai-Fidow, he would be a (sadly) good fullback for the Bears to build around. He'll earn better money doing that, than he ever will playing centre for Manly. I wouldn't blame him, Hoppa has basically taken his place as our long-term fullback, and will become the better fullback of the two.

I reckon Hoppa could be on nearly $1 million on his next contract from 2028 onwards... We will have the money for that with Brooks leaving.

Bullemor, Paseka, future Laiafi, and (maybe) Haas is a pack to build around.

I would rather see the back of Tom T or Garrick and keep Koula, he is the best center we have.

Nah.. Pappy to the Bears as the marquee back. Lines up with his contract and plans for Faalongo at the storm.

Apparently, from what I've heard at least, that plan is changing, with Pappy being the preferred option once again. Last I heard, they were nearing an extension for Pappy, from which they would allow Faalogo to leave.

It's a bit of a back and forth, but Pappy is having a fantastic season so that has changed things.

I can understand, they would be crazy to let Pap’s go, if it cost them Faalogo then so be it, he’d be my choice, barring another serious injury, the bloke is a freak with a big heart and bigger battery.
