Stakeholders are of the view that it would be beneficial to delay the resurfacing project until the end of the 2020 NRL playing season.

This will allow sufficient time to consider other key factors such as optimal surface positioning and levels for the Centre of Excellence and home game scheduling towards the back end of the 2020 season and front end of the 2021 season (which will require coordination with the NRL).

The recent opportunity presented to NRL clubs to be able to host a finals match at their home ground, is a great opportunity for the Club and the northern beaches community should the Sea Eagles qualify to host a home game in week 1 of the finals.

The surface for recent matches has been excellent, so there is no need to rush any refurbishments.

When we get a home final the council will cover the field in blood and bone the day before.

I think this gives a strong indication that the COE will Be built at the same time ie end of next season with Lottoland out of action in the early part of 2021

What ever happened to the last half dozen surface upgrades.
I remember 5-10 years ago there was talk of artificial grass being installed.

Once the COE is built, the new surface layed and the all most new extra large screen that was installed at the SFS that was put into storage before the rebuild is installed we will have a fantastic ground.

They can delay the re-surfacing for time eternal if it means we keep getting home finals.
