THE playing career of one of rugby league's hottest prospects, Blake Harrison, is in jeopardy after the Parramatta recruit was badly injured in a waterskiing accident.

It is unfortunate that this accident has happened. It now looks like it will cut a promising career before it even starts. It will come down to be like European soccer soon where athletes have to sign as part if their contracts that they cannot do certain activities that is not part of their training program's like sky diving, white water rafting, bungee jumping, skiing. I recently trained in a contact sport with a current SOO player and I am sure his club/coach did not know. It had nothing to do with any if his training and would not have helped his game ar all. If he had done his knee and been out of action for 12 months I'm sure the **** would have hit the fan.

I think the bigger news as far as Manly is concerned is the Buhrer injury.

Good luck to both of them.
