Just for those interested....Big C.Faingaa is playing back in the Massey cup trial match this weekend, the Workers have 3 matches going on for the guys not selected in the Intrust cup trial(1 Massey cup side and 2 Shield cup trial sides).I thought he might have been injured but maybe not,1 pic I saw was him not quite in shape but who knows...maybe had a niggling injury and coming back through there. Also big George Lolo is playing in the trial too,a guy who played with Dragons and fell off the radar, but he is a big unit and maybe is impressing....A couple of big boppers who could have impressed but don't look to have been committed enough(maybe injured but doubtful) are Richard Coorey and Jake Kamire from the Bulldogs and seem to have fallen off the radar.....Team lists are on the Workers facebook page.Saia Tanginoa a winger who had some potential is in the trials but they look like they have decided who has impressed enough I guess.

Workers 'A' shield side won convincingly(52-8 I think),their 'B' side (full of hopefuls I guess) drew 12 all.The Massey side did not do so well, lost 34-16 which is a bit disappointing as they are the best of the rest after the Intrust cup side.In saying that the side they came up against has played together a lot and the Workers side has not played together at all.Had a chat with Workers on their facebook page and geez they are good, enquired about some guys who were missing and they got back with the info. and said that they will put an injury update each week now (sometimes when you ask you do receive...).Richard Coorey the big prop is out with concussion,Jake Kamire another big prop is taking a year off away from footy,Tuinauvai an outside back from rugby has decided to return to Tonga and they will update others soon.

Keep smokin' Joe. Love your info about the lower grades and hope we get such write ups regularly during the season. If the Sea Eagles admin had any sense they would use your material on their site....but they wont....no sense I'm afraid.

That's a bit strange with Charlie Faainga. One moment he's one of only 3 Black town lads training with Manlys top 25, the next he can't make the NSW cup teams bench with 8 blokes sitting on it. I would have liked to see him looking a little lighter then he was in preseason photos. Must have had a Michael Crocker last weekend? His lose, Might turn out to be Jake Samoas gain perhaps.

Just saw the photos from Intrust cup game on their facebook page,ay carumba, Latrell's brother Shaqui, (spelling?) it's like chalk and cheese. He looks like George Rose after a weekend at KFC.Also Jamil's legs look like chicken legs compared to other players, don't know how much he weighs but he looks more like a back than a forward.

Excellent. I wouldn't say chicken legs, but he is certainly compact in build.
As for the big bloke - never mind George Rose, I thought he must have eaten Sam Kasiano. Luckily he didn't move too well.

Massey cup trial match today for Workers against Auburn Massey side, don't know team list but a big improvement from last weeks trial match.10 tries to Workers against Auburn's 3. Kaveinga 2,Fukofuka 2,Aldridge 2,Ray Leosa,Mario El Boustani.Mason Farrell and George Tsikrikas scored.

Hey I live in Berala which is mid way between Parramatta and Bankstown. But Manly supporter through and through for over 50 years. Mind you I was raised on the hill behind Brookvale Oval as a child so I guess that may explain it.

Pardon me for my ignorance but who is Faianga? Ive heard of him before and i am aware he plays for blacktown. Just not too sure as to why there is so much hype around him? His rugby league background and where does he stand this year in terms of first grade with us? Will he get a shot you think?

Just a big guy who looked like he would fill Vaves' role this year.Could have been a real damaging player but looks like he hasn't got his fitness in order.Played with Dragons and last year in the QRL grand final.

Hi fellow manly folk ive seen a bit of charlie Faianga play for Redcliffe, big unit good motor ,what worries me though is his fitness, likes a good pie an a RUM @:D But who bloody doesn't lol.
I could go a few four and twentys and a bundy right now.. or the other way round. Im easy haha

Me! ... but I'm special

Another little sliver of info. 3 of our U20's forwards had a run in the match too, Amoni Tufui,George Francis and Eddie Wulf.Must have wanted the big lads to get in a bit of extra match fitness before the start of the season I guess.....
