Best win of the year ..

I am certain some other good judge has said it, but I'll say it again ... in my less than humble opinion, last night's win was probably our best win this year ..

Playing against a good determined outfit playing for their semifinal spot we got rolled in the early stages, out enthused, out played, and out scored ... we then steadied the ship, fought back, got into the grind and emerged victorious ... it was ugly, but ugly has it's own beauty when effort and determination are rewarded ... and good teams need to be able to win the ugly ones .. because as sure as hell ... some games are just butt ugly.

Wasn't our best and wasn't our worst win either. It was a very good ugly win though. If we keep winning ugly like this in the finals I will be extremely pleased. Next week and the week after I am expecting wins of beauty.

Best win still is bankwest parra game IMO. But this one was the most relieving and most impressive one. We just showed we can play scrappy and flat footy, have nearly everything go against us in terms of calls, and still manage to scrape a win. Was really impressive and so happy we managed to come away with points in that. Let's just hope that's the last game this year we play without Turbo.

We needed the win and I'm glad we pulled thru in the end but we played absolutely garbage last night.
Raiders played crap and handed us opportunity after opportunity and we continally blew it with stupid mistakes . We didn't play like a team that's worthy of finals footy let alone a top 4 spot .
Raiders are garbage and we made them look like a half decent team.
I'm glad we won, I'm glad we got our act together long enough in the second half to put it away, but it's one of those games we will take the W and never speak of it again..

I agree with Des in the presser this was a game we needed. We need to learn to grind it out and win the arm wrestle. Our 2nd half was semi final football.

I would say that Round 5 against the Warriors was a more important win in the context of our season but it was really important for the team to show that kind of grit and dig themselves out of that hole for their confidence moving forward.

I think the first win over the eels in round 11 was the best win of the season so far, the forwards got on top of an inform Eels pack.

Was a great win to give some belief in the squad.

I think the fact we won without Tom in the side will be beneficial coming into the finals. We've got the monkey off our back.

We kept shooting ourselves in the foot, the only reason the Faders were in the match was because of our 1st half errors 7 of em. So frustrating !!, plus was getting no favours from the Ref, which is mostly always the case. We are the best 2nd half team in the comp for wins when behind at half time. 18 unanswered points, put paid to the Faders hopes.

Pretty good when you think about it. Two of those wins have been by only one point though.

Since Tom was available for selection (Round Six onwards) we have won three out of four) without Tom. That looks pretty good to me.

Our best win imho was round 5 vs Warriors, which gave us some much-needed confidence and was the catalyst to turning our season around.

Whilst the Raiders win was a similar gritty, come-from-behind and no Tom win, the round 5 win taught us to "hang in there" and really kicked off our season. From then we haven't looked back.

Agree ... but it is easy to win games when the God's favour you with high completions, no mistakes, every pass including the hail Mary's going to hand, winning the penalty count and 6 again calls, and the bounce of the ball going your way ..

It is those games when you are playing busted and everything is going wrong ... and believe that there will be plenty of those, that's footy and has ever been thus ... it is those games when you buckle down and grind away for a win that are the most pleasing for players and coaches ...

... Any body .. even Parra can win when everything goes like clockwork ... good teams find a way to win amongst the shiite ..
