B. Stewart contract upgrade/extension

It would be a double celebration if Stewart does make his Test debut, with Manly putting together a $1.8million contract extension designed to keep the fullback at Brookvale for life.

The deal would see the 22-year-old join Darren Lockyer, Johnathan Thurston and Mark Gasnier as one of the highest-paid players in the game on an estimated $370,000 a season.

Manly chief executive Grant Mayer confirmed the club's bid to secure Stewart until the end of 2012, while backing his charge to earn national selection.

"His career has at least 10 years to go, so if we could get him for another five years it would be superb for the club,'' Mayer said.
