I never quite understand the machinations of a footy club. We chase the wooden spooners half and tell Hastings/Crocker that if they perform this year they might get a gig with someone else next year after we sign another kid regardless?

Lucky footy players (in the majority) don't think.

The wooden spooners half is a experienced and proven match winning SOO player and accomplished kicker .
The unproven Hastiing/Croker have to perform to get a gig
I would rather our club have good back up and more options available.
