Referees coach Robert Finch has announced that the referee of Sunday's Grand Final between Melbourne and Manly at Telstra Stadium is Tony Archer.

Steve Chiddy and Russell Turner will be sideline officials with Bill Harrigan and Phil Cooley in the video referees box.

Deep down I think he is the best choice for us. He had some run-ins with the Storm last weekend and of the 4 doesn't hate Manly as much as the others. He has a short tolerance level so the boys will have to behave.
