Being owner of the great Manly club is an honour .
Nick Politis has spoons in his office . Penn does not not .

2013 was a year to be proud of. That famous victory over Souths in the semis was one of Manly’s greatest moments, not to forget the way they started 2014 leading the comp until the second last round and finishing equal 1st.
Even 2015 had great moments toward the end of the year.
I don’t remember anything 2016-18. Were we even in the comp?

Toovey was very unlucky not to have a Grand final trophy . The refs made some crucial errors .

2012 Tooves should've had another GF. Disgraceful refereeing in the Prelim final and a disgrace that the cheating scum were allowed to continue with virtually the same squad that was over the cap previous years.

I do wonder if some on here understand that the Penn family have only had control of the Board and in turn the club since October 2014. That was some 3 years after the Hasler departure and after the Quantum faction forced out Gifty & Choc.

Penn then inherited the Foran / DCE contract fiasco, which was poorly handled and he is also the one who sacked Toovey. Beyond those two stuff ups the Barrett & roster issues were 100% on Fulton. The Penn family get verballed for a sh1t load of stuff they had no control over.

It's also on the record that Quantum first tried to buy the Leagues Club premises but was knocked back because the offer was insufficient.
