$5000on the spot fine for abusing front line staff ..

In my local area we have a local facebook page .. it was great ... but as is the modern way, it has become infested and over run with whingers and one agenda numbnuts ...

What has inspired this thread is ... our local MB posted that new penalties of $5000 fines would apply to any punchie that abused front line staff .... predictably, within seconds, a goose has come back with outrage .. that is excessive , and what if they can't pay the fine ?? ....

To our local MP's credit he replied that then they shoudn't spit or cough on police officers, nurses or Ambo's ....

So to Silvertails who have family or friends in the front line from doctors to Woolies checkout chicks ... thank you and hope they are all well ...

PSSS .. A personal message to @yokahontas ... if any goose spits or coughs at you ... I hope you will make all Silvertails proud ... and knock them the **** out ...

Some of them are not on drugs or Psychotic . Some of them are high on bad attitude issues

Yep they are my daily clientele in front line child protection services. Things are getting busy. Some golf and quiets beers at home this Easter break then back into it Tuesday. I anticipate more knocking on doors as a first order of business.

I work as a train guard and have been spat at, had stuff thrown at me and verbally abused numerous times. It's always our fault that someone has missed that train and have to wait five minutes for the next one, a high percentage had time to grab their takeaway coffee before missing that train.
I always get but it's only 30 seconds, true but if my run has 30 stops and I am delayed 30 seconds at each station that makes me 15 minutes late and then they wonder why.

I'm happy for them to get a fine, one woman who spat in my face because my train didn't stop where she wanted to go told me she was a prostitute. I was sent to hospital for testing several times over the next 12 months, don't want to go through that again.

On the local FB page, I unfollowed it as it was full of people whinging about trivial things and the anti 5G mob.

There used to be a nursing home on the corner of Park St and Mactier St in Narrabeen, I don't think it's there anymore. There was an old guy who used to sit on the balcony and throw **** at people walking by. Luckily he didn't have a great arm and if you walked on the other side of the street you were sweet.

That nursing home's long gone, as has that old guy thankfully. Replaced by apartments, like much of the area now.

Thanks @Woodsie. My son's not a checkout chick lol but he works at Woolies and yes he's copped plenty of abuse in recent weeks.

I take my hat off to @BOZO @robbiea @Waz13 @DUFFMAN and any other front line staff on here who've been spat on and copped plenty just for doing their job. We aren't all grubs and do appreciate what you do.

That’s the plan @Woodsie - I’m in the control room so not such an issue during work hours, but I’ve heard of people being abused going to/from work in uniform. Hoping it doesn’t happen to any of my colleagues, but if it does I would expect the culprit to get a throat punch as well as the $5K fine. Some people are a total waste of skin.

My wife works at Big W.
It got so bad she had to take a week's LSL to get away from all the abuse.

Heaven help her if the store didn't get an overnight delivery of toilet paper.

No wonder she comes home saying she hates people.
