He bats well above his average.

That includes coaching the rable of a team he inherited here at Man. Culture rainbow gate mess. Did well to get that team to make the 8.

Onwards and upwards in 25. That defence needs to be everything this off season. But to be fair Penn needs starts playing golf or finds some lunch bags. I think we need a more mobile middle to be up to scratch in defence. They might score out wide, but it all starts in the middle and we big old and slow.

I know Phil Gould isn’t everybody’s cup of tea,but take a listen to the Footy Talk podcast this week where he talks about turning clubs around and how development is more important than recruiting players from other clubs.Hopefully Manly have been taking notes from Gould’s efforts at Penrith and the Dogs.Obviously those two teams have bigger catchment areas,but you can’t argue with the success at Penrith and the potential at the Dogs

And? So Gould’s whole recruitment/talent identification/coaching/structuring,gets thrown out the window because of that one decision?A decision that in hindsight has seemed to have worked.
