My 2019 ladder predictions (end of normal rounds)
- Roosters - should still have the desire to attempt the back to back
- Souths - will have grown under Bennett with some exciting young talent
- Penrith - my only contentious top 4 pick - could be rocks or diamonds
- St George - big forward pack and a class backline but still needs to ditch choking
- Manly - arguably the best forward pack and a top 5 spine - centres will be fine
- Cronulla - Johnson to add more attacking options
- Newcastle - Ponga to continue his rise as an elite player. Plenty of go forward.
- Broncos - will struggle, Siebold will not be the new messiah.
- Melbourne - too much for scam this time - missing class of Slater
- West’s - still building but lack of elite players
- Gold Coast - May surprise with a higher finish but a good all round team
- Parramatta - will be a better year but the end of the line for Arthur
- Raiders - 2 words - Ricky Stuart
- Warriors - no Johnson and seemingly struggling coach
- Bulldogs - lack a lot key players
- Cowboys - Couldn’t cut it last year with JT, coaching issues for me
