2017 S.O.O refs named Game 1

Matt Cecchin and Gerard Sutton will referee the 2017 Holden State of Origin I at Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday, May 31.

Brett Suttor and Chris Butler will be touch judges for the match, while Bernard Sutton (Senior Review Official) and Ben Galea (Review Official) will officiate from the NRL Bunker.

I always wondered why Brett Suttor doesn't referree in the middle anymore. I only see him as a touch judge.

He is lucky to be an NRL referee.

The Sutton brothers were Refs in the old group 5 area when I was still out in Moree.

Much younger of course.

They were hated and reviled back then for being basically " ****ing hopeless".

And as for that prick Checcin!!

Hate that guy. He was an angry little **** when he was a referee. Talked to the players like they were naughty little kids.

this bloke has proven adept at swing games up to forty points (i.e. 20-0, 20-20, 0-20) which is what the owners like
so best to sense the 'officiating scenario' early on an bet live during the game ahead of the actual momentum shifts....
