A bit early, but never the less, what's everyone's thoughts on who will be in the top 8 next year?

I'm thinking something along the lines of

1. Manly - barring injuries to Snake, and we fire up over this years GF
2. Souths
3. Easts
4. Cronulla
5. Melbourne
6. Warriors - Tomkins could be the player they've been needing
7. Nth Qld
8. Penrith

In no particular order I think you are pretty close but not sold on Penrith.
They played above themselves in 2013 & not convinced Soward is any more than an average half in NRL standards.
Definately right about Tomkins - he is world class & if Snake retired today would be happy with him at Manly.

I think North Queensland and Brisbane will be the big improvers.
I'd love to think Manly can finish top, but in the top four would suit me fine.

Top 4;

Manly – As if we won’t be there ☺
Souths – St George overcame the chokers tag, can they?
Cronulla – I think if Gallen doesn’t get them there in 2014, there is no hope!
Roosters – if “he” plays in 2014, if not maybe out of the 8?

Bottom 4;

Warriors – Their year to again play well “more” of the time!
Nth Queensland – new coach, same old conspiracy?
Brisbane – Recruited well enough to move up.
Titans – Remains to be seen but should finish in the 8 (the Qld treble?)

Possible for the 8;

Penrith – New recruits are good but may take time to gel.
West Tigers – Exciting juniors and no Benji should mean more consistency!
Canberra – Last throw of the die for Sticky?
St George – Reasonable roster and right coach?
Melbourne - Too old now?

1. Manly - No Snake (his legs are gone :( ), but Hiku steps up
2. Souths
3. Penrith- their NYC was huge on GF day and won easy
4. Warriors
5. Easts
6. Newcastle
7. Melbourne
8. Cronulla

16.Tigers

Storm are on the slide, but still Top 8 material. Just not sure (like this year), if they have the gear to up it come Semis. Also Widdop is going to be a bigger loss for them than people imagine.

The Roosters are a funny one, they have a habit of struggling the year after the GF. So will be interesting if they come up good in 2014. I think they will.

He just isn't. fast enuff. Snake will heal fine. if not its more likely to be Gutherson as 1, Hiku as 4.

No Hiku at 5, Wolfie gone

Gutherson to get some fullback time during the course of the year as fill in .

No particular order:

Manly
Souths
Chooks
Storm
Warriors
Dogs
Broncos
Titans

I don't like saying it but, I can't see
Brett Stewart's hamstring trouble letting up.
It seems to plague players like Hodges,
J.Hayne & co.

Top 8 No Particular Order:

Manly
Souffs
Easts
Cronulla
Nth Qld
Penrith
Newcastle
Warriors

1. The dogs will be stuffed without Barba and won't make the 8.
2. The filthy purple scum will be 9th.
3. The donkeys to miss the 8 again and their coach 2nd one sacked in 2014.
4. St Merge - The Spoon - Rubbish Roster & Rubbish Coach who will be 1st one sacked in 2014.

Unfortunately I cant see us featuring in the big end of season games next year. With the Stewart brothers both having shocking seasons last year and our other aging stars like Lyon, Matai, Choc, King and Ballin a year older and slower its inevitable that we slide down into lower half of the ladder.

Did you just cut'n'paste a pre-2013 season prediction from the experts?
