    The NRL has been deliberately made into a snakes and ladders competition. Being a conventional rugby league team means nothing, even dominating for 70 mins and leading by 20 points. A junk team will every now and then win when the snakes combine to neuter the better side.

    More of a mystery is what happened to the concrete walkway tunnel that once cut through the Brookie hill, why was it filled in and what is now inside it? Can see the tunnel at 20 seconds here in this 1978 game.

    Broncos have a 2025 alternate they could have worn last night. Instead it looked like Manly v Manly. Other than vs Manly at Brookvale, I doubt the NRL will give Manly much of a listen if they complain though. Look at how many NRL games are blue vs blue.
