    We saw today the difference in the team when Tom is fit Vs not fit/not playing. A fit Tom and we win that game by 50-60 points. Without him we lack direction and cohesion and against most other teams we probably lose.

    He will be 34 next year and has never played a competitive game of league as a grown man. He is also on a contract of £1.2 million per year. That's pounds not dollars. I somehow don't think it's an option

    I think it's if we don't get a halfback then Tom moves to 6 and Brooks at 7. If we do then the replacement is a like for like ( except they want to play for Manly) and Brooks stays at 6

    I fail to see how asking turbo to make 20+ tackles per game against big edge forwards and playing a roving 5/8 game is any easier on him. Keep him at full back and weigh up other options.
