    Davvy Moale

But, but - is Moale any good? And if he is good why are Souths willing to let him go(not as if Souths have a great pack at the present time)?

Ken Arthurson - The Godfather of Manly Sea Eagles

Agree. Whilst probably illogical to some extent, I can't help feeling that for Manly to be successful it has to be run/coached by a "Manly" man/team. Under Arthurson/Fulton always felt the club was strong in direction and purpose. But over recent years - with a dwindling Manly connection -...

    Jamal Fogarty

Fogarty is a good footballer and therefore an appropriate signing for Manly. However, suspect that three years is probably one year too long - and that near the end he will have joined Manly's regular 'Dads Army'.

Wakeham: 12 month deal. Upgrade to top 30

Wakeham is a good all-round footballer. Can kick goals also.

    Hugo Hart 2025 tries

Agree. Never seen Manly so poor across all grades.

Which of our youngsters will break into NRL in 2026

The team certainly needs a transfusion of new talent. Pointless persevering with the same old, same old. Have to ditch the 'Dads Army' image. Walsh certainly a prospect. Hart is also an NRL player on the future, but still looks a bit physically immature - needs to bulk up. Next year maybe a...

    2026 recruitment & retention

IMO Croker is definitely NOT a keeper. His stodgy, non penetrative play at dummy-half is one of the main reasons for Manly's failure to compete effectively over recent seasons.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly V Dolphins [Round 25, 2025]

He was anonymous throughout most of the game.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Anyone see the Kaeo Weekes try last night? SPPED and SKILL. The Manly officials who let him go should hang their heads in shame (if not sacked!).

    2026 recruitment & retention

Benn is evolving into one of our best forwards. Probably will continue to get even better.

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Have not rated Navale about '..nothing..'. Have given him credit for having good speed and relentless tackling. Can play long minutes (at least in NSW Cup).

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Don't agree about Ben - reckon he has evolved into a good NRL standard forward. But not confident about this game. Tigers look to have a bit more spirit than Manly at this timer.

    NSW Cup 2025

It is correct that the Manly Reserve grade side is poor. However, it does contain a few decent players, who deserve appropriate consideration. And BTW reckon one of the poorer contributors all season has been Chee Kam, 33 old, who of course got promoted last week!

    NSW Cup 2025

Manly recently reminds me of Australian cricket in the 1950's when it was often said that it '..was harder to get out of the Australian team than to get in..' When I view what is happening at the clubs that have elite coaches - such as Easts, Melbourne, Souths, Saints, and a few others - where...

    NSW Cup 2025

I've watched Navale several times this season. He is quick and tackles effectively and often. Has scored a couple of tries involving distance running. Reckon he offers much more upside than Waddell or Chee Kam.

    Post-Game Discussion Raiders V Manly [Round 23, 2025]

But in reality Chee Kam is not very good. Just better than Wadddell, and neither would make any other NRL team. Not one.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

IMO DCE has been a great servant for Manly over very many seasons. But so regrettable this season has been a disaster for him, his legacy, and the Manly club. His demeaner on the field tonight was that of a broken player, plus also, for just about the first time, the realisation that time has...

    November Targets

Hugo Hart looks like a good propspect. Has size, speed and a good skills background?

    Pre-Game Raiders V Manly [Round 23, 2025]

Chee Kam in. Chee Kam now aged 33 and has played reserves all year with apparent disinterest. Navale on the other hand has given 100%, and can't get a look in. Something not right.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly V Chooks [Round 22, 2025]

This season is now over for Manly. It was a dismal night and a very dismal, and INEPT display by the Manly team. But the basic defects have been visible to many supporters now for several weeks - mainly a forwards pack filled with slow past their best journey men discards from other clubs, plus...
