    I've got a computer problem ?

    You shouldn't, no.

    I've got a computer problem ?

Yeah, I'd try a reinstall for starters. You never know... virus / adware scan might bring something up, too.

    Looking for laptop

Yuk... frigging Macs. I've been trying to do some iPhone development on one for a while now and it's just awful. Don't get me wrong... when OS X came it I was drooling for it... thank god I never had enough motivation to get one! I'll happily stick to my 'renegade' OS :) Having said that...

The end of Olympic broadcasting as we know it

In theory, maybe, but they'll geo-locate you and restrict your viewing to your local provider. Even now I reckon you'll probably have a hard time watching it live from nbc.com or something similar.

    Luxury Motor Home

Yeah, sucks to be rich. Just regarding the drag... if that thing is anything like any '5th wheel', those 'bumps' are pulled in (electronically, of course!) while they're on the road. It just gives them a little more living space while they're parked.

New Firefox browser set for release

Firebug is great, but really I believe you need a combination of it and the Web Developer plugin. Honestly, if you're doing more PHP than anything else, I recommend PDT (eclipse.org/pdt). It's essentially the base for the next version of Zend Studio. Link it with a decent debug extension in PHP...

New Firefox browser set for release

Agreed on every one of Dan's points. The Mozilla group will argue that the memory is not leaking, it's fragmenting but at the end of the day, it still means a ****ty experience for high volume usage. I've installed the RC of FF3 and after a little dislike of the new address bar, I'm loving it.

    Auction Game! Guess the Value!

Because the apple sticker became attached to the note midway through the printing process.... note that it's over the '$20' at the bottom, but underneath the serial number and stamp.

    Auction Game! Guess the Value!

Could you call it defaced though? It was obviously in place during the printing process so is it really 'defaced'? Either way, I had to look it up... suffice to say it's worth more than both the note and the apple the sticker came off combined!

Viral video for a new Leprechaun movie?

Labor to deliver lightning internet speeds

But still, it's boring. As far as I'm concerned, it would be like the government annoucing 10 years ago "and everyone will have caller ID!". A lot of it doesn't have to be 'rewiring', anyway. I'd be happy with "all new lines, whether they be for new developments or replacing old lines have to...

Labor to deliver lightning internet speeds

Seriously... if you want a plan for the 21st century, why not do something impressive? Why are we talking 25Mb DSL when we should be talking about fibre optic connections? Any talk that involves 'copper' is boring, to be honest, especially seeing as it's going to take how many years for it...

    Jesus loves you.

I can't answer for 'Christians', I can only answer for myself. Sorry if I came across as touchy... like I said in the earlier post, I just know that I'm sick of seeing these 'arguments against religion' that everyone applauds when the argument is actually against a person that considers...

    Jesus loves you.

Yeah, I love it too. Typical "I got a half baked email from someone who doesn't actually understand what they believe and therefore I can point and laugh at everyone who shares some of their beliefs and make out that I have found the single hole in their logic... one they cannot get out of". He...

    Heath Ledger Dead

Yep, I've heard nothing but good things about him as an actor in general and as the Joker in particular. Michael Cain said that on the set, the first scene he had with Heath in it he forgot his lines because he was so shocked about how frightening the character was. Apparently in his last...

    The Man From Earth

I got to watch this great movie last night and so wanted to know if anyone else had watched it (plus, it makes a good contrast to the I Am Legend post). 'The Man From Earth' is an independent film. Sci-fi genre, though zero special effects and most of it is set in a single room (the entire...

    Atheists and Christmas

I really don't get what you're saying about Ramadan. Are you saying that it's strange that non-Muslims do not celebrate Ramadan, or maybe that you would celebrate it if it become more commercial? I'm not trying to put words in your mouth here, I'm just really confused by those last two sentences...

    Atheists and Christmas

MB: by 'take back Christmas' I don't necessarily mean getting rid of Santa and shopping and so on... it's more a 'movement' in North America where certain people are really pushing the religious aspect, more than trying to take anything away from it. Not necessarily telling people that they...

    Atheists and Christmas

OK, clon, so what about the other stuff? Do you think that Christians have a right to try and 'take it back', or at least be upset about it having lost its religious underpinnings?
