    Keppie

Suggest Jake has more errors (penalties, 6 agains), every game than Keppie.

    Tommy Talau

Watched Talau last night. Generally seems to move ok, has power, and has a bit of speed off the mark. But also needs some good coaching in the fundamentals of centre 3/4 play - such as draw and pass and the like.

    Move Olakau'atu to Prop/Middle

I agree he should go to the middle position. Out wide he is stifling the attack. Koula is virtually an onlooker he gets so little good ball. Undoubtedly the PRESENT POSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE NOT WORKING!

    Run Koula Run

Agree. Olakauatu is cruelling Koula with his complete lack of ball skills.

    Run Koula Run

Agree - Olakauatu is destroying Koula with his ball hogging and general lack of ball skills. I believe Ola should be moved into the front row where is sole attribute of physicality will be more valuable. Should be replaced inside Koula by someone who knows how to create space and pass.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly v Cowboys [Round 20, 2023]

Obviously disappointed with the result but thought that at least Manly never gave up. But it is now obvious that the current line-up is just not competitive against good opposition. Probably too late now for this season but some suggested changes I would like to see are: 1. Move Olakauatu from...

    Latu Fainu

In reality Fulton is very average. Not big and lacks pace. He is courageous, but that is about all. Matterson is twice the player.

    Liam Martin?

    Agree completely.

    Fletcher Myers (young fullback/centre)

Have not observed much positive footage of Talau with the Tigers so far to make me have too much optimism about him.

    Blacktown Workers ... 2023 ..

Also interesting - Tommy Talau listed as a reserve for the Tigers. So looks like that transfer (w/- Latu) deal has not yet happened (and hopefully will not).

    Latu Fainu

Koula is an excellent footballer - has great pace, excellent fundementals, and guts. He is still very young but is a great prospect - can be, and should be a match winner. Main problem so far are the logs playing inside him, none of whom have the minimum balls skillls or football nous, to give...

    Latu Fainu

Don't think Talau will go to wing - reports are that he lacks pace. But then again - as Manly is clearly on the down-slide, nothing would surprise me any more with this administration.

    Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega

Agree. Also not sure he has adequate pace.

    Recent recruitment and moving forward

Condon, on recent performances, looks as though he will be a good signing.
  15. N

    Tommy Talau

Weekes is a good'un, has the priceless quality of speed. Needs managing properly.
  16. N

    Cooper Johns

Completely not up to NRL standard. Too small, lacks pace, fragile defence, only up to catch and pass and not very good at that. It is as though Manly went into this game with a 12 man side - and not the first occasion this season. Really his continued selection is just indefensible. Young...

    Post-Game Discussion Manly v Sharks [Round 11, 2023]

Weekes should have been in the side long ago. He is bein g handled terribly.

    Pre-Game Manly v Sharks [Round 11, 2023]

I agree - it is a complete waste of time persevering with Johns. Weekes is twice the footballer.

    Pre-Game Manly v Sharks [Round 11, 2023]

If they play Johns in at 5/8 it will be another thrashing for Manly.

    Blacktown won today

Also Nathaniel Roache - if he played. Reckon, on a pure talent basis - he may be an answer to Manly's problem at dummy half.
