I don’t think I’d be rushing to sign any of the names still floating around. Yeah, we need middles, but none of them are a clear upgrade on what we’ve already got. Bigger picture though; if you look at who’s coming off contract in 2026, Croker’s probably the only one I wouldn’t mind seeing go...- Not Paul Kent

Looking at the team on paper, I don’t think we are a serious chance next year, if we have some signings targets and a bunch of cap space for 2027 then a transition year may not be the worst. But in practice I can’t see anyone paying full freight, then we’d also need to sign some journeyman for depth purposes, so we’d probably end up net about the same salary cap wise with a player equal or possibly even worse than brooks.
