Can we bring in Joey Walsh

His manager described Walsh as an "ambitious Alpha dog"... so which club do you think he'll end up at?

    2026 recruitment & retention

The Nein commentator said Easts have debuted eight players in First Grade this season. Eight! We have debuted none (if my memory is correct) What a damning endictment of a safety-first coach with no vision. Surely we can do better. There is no joy in following a club that accepts mediocracy...

Is it just me that rates Gavin as the most overhyped player in the NRL?

    The way forward

You want radical? I'll give you radical: We merge with Newcastle and become New Manly. We command the geography north of Sydney Harbour, through the central coast and north past Newcastle to the Queensland border. Imagine the junior talent in this region! We play half our home matches in...

    Dessie by Roy Masters

Hasler's comments back-up what all NRL fans know: the six-again is used to even up a contest.

Wow. We really are a recruitment force, aren't we!

All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

I must applaud how the match was refereed; Limited number of penalties and just one six-again. It just reinforces that refs should minimise their whistle-blowing. It was a great game, made more so by the lack of stopages from the ref.

    Clayton Faulalo

Agree. But first I would like to see how he goes at 5/8. Brooks is OK but has not done sufficient over the past two seasons to make him an automatic selection, although Boldy disagrees. Brooks is resilient and has not missed a match; just like DCE, who should be "rested" to give us a glimpse...

Have any Manly players debut in the NRL this season?

    Time to pull the trigger

Today's selections confirm to me that Boldy has to go. He has no vision for the future. I'd love to see the Walker Brothers given a crack at NRL coaching, even if it is with another club. I'm sure they would revolutionise some aspects of the sport.

DCE is a good defender ... when his heart is in the match.

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

What a ho-hum side. Slight excitement about Navale getting a run, but if Boldy's form holds then it will be a minor 10-minute stint. The rest of the selection are: "we've lost three in a row so let's stick to the losing formula. DCE has not been trying so let's stay loyal to him. . ." Yep...

Easts' manage, and their heartland has the most expensive real estate in Australia.

    3,2,1 points

The match finished two hours ago yet there is no game day thread for our MOM, so here we go: IMO, despite the defeat, we had a lot of players trying hard. They deserve some regognition: 3. Bully 2. Koala 1. Simpkin

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I just don't think DCE was trying. He's still a better player than he's showing for us. Let's see if Boldy has the courage to send him out to pasture now. There is nothing to be gained from DCE continuing to tarnish his image.

    Post-Game Discussion Raiders V Manly [Round 23, 2025]

All true. But if you switch the two sets of halves, with us having Strange Fog, then we win that much. Our rag tag forwards did enough to keep us in the match, but our two most experienced players let us down badly. One isn't trying; the other is simply not good enough.

    Decision makers

I agree with your sentiment, and I've been supporting Manly since around 1960. However, it must be obvious to all -- except one bloke -- that our lack of success began when Mr Penn took full ownership of the club. Surely, an owner who really loved a struggling club or company would change the...
