    Just had a quick look at the list of premiers from way back and St George and/or Souths were at the pointy end every year from 1949 to 1971 inclusive... Must've been monotonous if you didn't support one of those two!

    You'd have to think that the current 'riff team will be lurking at (or near) the top of the heap for quite a few more years. If that eventuates then they'd be regarded as one of the best ever. Souths had a handy team late 60s to early 70s as well.

    Yes, I went to a soccer game (not top tier) in England a lot of years ago and there were about 3000 there and the noise was huge - it helped that we accidentally sat with the opposition fans so were facing the racket from the home fans! Game was as boring as all **** though..!

    Yes, thanks for posting this, @Woodsie. I have to agree wholeheartedly with Mark's post and coincidentally I blocked one particular poster yesterday after reading the post-game thread, so sick of it. A couple of others are close to 'ignore' status as well. Hope to see Mark back next season.
