The good clubs seem to be able to engineer it so that even if a player is on contract they can get them. The excuses used.... he's homesick, he doesn't like the coach, he needs a change of scenery, the pies are better over there ..... bla, bla, bla. I wish we could do that.- Wombat64

So am I reading too much into this? Does that mean that with the constraints we have with our salary cap that the owners / management of the club are already conceding that 2026 is going to be a poor season and don't want to send a new coach into the mess?- Wombat64
