    Would expect Storm to beat Roosters comfortably with Hughes back and no Sam Walker. Rabbitohs always fire up against their arch rivals and with Mitchell and Cam Murray due back, I rate them a big chance Hardest part will be beating Dragons at one of our bogey grounds Jubilee.

    Only watched the 2nd half and he was strong for the 40 minutes. Thought he’s better than our current options, and was particularly impressed with the passion displayed.

    What they’re meant to do is either contest the bomb, or wait until they hit the ground then try and hold them up. Why shouldn’t a perfect bomb be rewarded with a penalty try, if the catcher is taken illegally?

    Warriors didn’t deserve that win; 3 tries to 2 and got an incredible bounce from the charge down. Bulldogs also got 2 favourable decisions to win their match. I don’t think top 4 is on our sights but the top tesms getting the rub of the green won’t help.

    First coach sacked.

    Lose this week and then we have Newcastle at Newcastle where we always struggle; if DCE makes an announcement after Origin we could implode for the rest of the season and finish with our first spoon.

    Jake Simpkin signed until 2026

    Simpkins was great; GCKT not up to first grade standard. Just use Jazz at hooker if Simpkins needs a breather. Jazz was very good at 13 also, lot more energy and did well as the link man.

    Much better value than Waddell; is not ill disciplined and didn’t make any mistakes and made his tackles. Our defence overall was so much better because we had a more mobile pack of forwards. Simpkin was outstanding and needs to play big minutes if we are to threaten the better teams.

    Agree James looked more mobile today. Also think Simpkins showed why needs to be our dummy half; crisp passing and a clever try and I thought he defended well too.
