    @hozza l knew l'd get a response of "l don't care about other clubs". I care about how we will be as a force too but that needn't diminish the talents and achievements of individual players. Players can be elite without winning premierships, just as players can be stock standard first graders...

    So how do Tigers and Sharks supporters view the careers of Junior Pearce and Steve Rogers? Or the greater Rugby League community? Both mainstays of NSW and Australia, regarded as greats of their respective clubs yet they won diddly squat.

    Yep, l can't believe ( well l can because it's the NRL) that there was no case to answer for Lomax. Sure he didn't mean it but he was nowhere near catching the ball and didn't pull out , instead he took his eyes off the ball and grabbed the the catcher

    Disagree, yes he has been that good last night he was nowhere near catching the ball yet didn't pull out or commit so he was in no man's land and put the catcher in a dangerous position. Even if he half arsed turned his back and jumped with his arms up he'd at least have a defence of competing...

    So, seeing as this is a recruitment and retention thread, do you think that 46% winning record would be better if we had say Gutho/Turbo at 1 regularly and say Api at 9? Not to mention a regular more than serviceable 6. Plonking it all on DCE is somewhat cynical in my opinion.

    It works at SOO level due to the DCE/Hunt/Grant triumvirate in tandem with Munster doing what he does. It works because they're all elite players just like Turbo excels at centre for NSW & Australia. If they're not surrounded by other elite players then they are best playing in the best position.
