    I mean how long is a piece of string, you could argue 8 rewards mediocrity and we should go back to a top 5. Thing is at 18 then 19 teams you run the risk of 6-8 teams being dead with 2 months of the competition to go.

    I think we are making different points here but also agreeing in some sense. My point is very few players make a significant impant as teenagers, most take a few years and really hit their stride season 3 or 4. As you say, many of those may debut at 19 but start to impose themselves at 22-23...

    I fear there is no going back. Its not working well atm but if we get rid of it what will happen is then the first mistake or try wrongly or rightly given that the bunker would have otherwise caught happens everyone will blow up deluxe.
