The senior leaders are all aligned? Check. Smear campaigns, whisper campaigns, personal agendas? Check. Listing excuses then saying, "But it's not an excuse"? Check. Pointing out that we've been Penrith and the Storm: "Our game model checks out"? Check and check. "It's a tough comp"? Check...

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Definitely thinking about his off-season holiday. Portugal? Sri Lanka? Maybe South America? Anywhere but here with these dickheads.

Game Day: Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

I do love how you're always more positive about Manly than most actual Manly supporters, TJ.

DCE, broken Turbos & a coach under pressure: article

Have said this repeatedly over the years: whenever Scott Penn gets his borderline-repulsive mug in the newspapers, it is never a good sign for Manly. It means we're on the ropes, and generally everything that comes out of his mouth only makes things worse. Ideally, we'd be a strong club...

All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

Only problem for me is that I've been telling myself that, poor as we have been, at least we could beat the Bunnies. Now I'm not even sure of that.

Noticed this article at Yahoo Sports today: Manly cop backlash from own NRL fans over mooted signing of two players from Bulldogs https://au.news.yahoo.com/manly-cop-backlash-from-own-nrl-fans-over-mooted-signing-of-two-players-from-bulldogs-014446880.html The news "sources" appear to...

All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

Yeah, I saw some comments in this week's game thread about how it would be embarrassing to lose to the Tigers, but really, it can't be more embarrassing than losing to the Titans. Or losing to the Knights after opening up a 16-point lead. Or losing to a terrible St George team at Brookvale. Or...

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Gives a whole new meaning to the words "wet and dry"…

    Jason Saab

Really, I think his problem is that he's just not a footy player. He's a runner, and a very good one, but he has zero feel for the game of rugby league.

All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

Walker should mentor DCE. Walker has - gasp! - learned and developed as a player since coming into the NRL, working on and improving everything in his game. In his 57 years in the NRL, Cherry has learned sweet FA. What can he possibly teach Walker about halfback play?

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

If you're going to be sh#thouse on the field, you may as well be sh#thouse on a really nice field. Groundskeeping seems to be about the only area we can excel at these days.

All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

Watching the Warriors right now is like watching us: throwing it wide without ever being on the front foot when they've got the ball, and absolutely clueless in defence. Even with two Dragons knocking each other out (Jack De Belin, who usually likes a bit of two-on-one action, being one of...

    The way forward

This, really, is the barely beating heart of the problem. No real leaders anywhere, only people pretending to be leaders. Off the field, on the field, there's lots of posturing and lots of finger pointing, but nobody as yet has had the courage to even admit that we have a problem (we are a club...

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Yeah, I can inflict the same amount of pleasure and pain on myself by staying at home and masturbating with a cheese grater. And it doesn't cost me $90. (Although Mercurochrome costs more than it used to…)

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Oddly enough, considering how Cherry's other contract negotiations have played out, that extension was done with very little fanfare. It just kind of… happened. Which probably means we paid a hefty price again. I remember thinking at the time we'd be stuck with him well into his 40s.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Yeah, he's not a game-breaking half by any means. But I will happily take an aging team player with a big kicking game who's also willing to tackle and take the ball to the line. As it stands, every time I notice Cherry in a game these days (and usually I don't, because it's almost like he's...

    Joey Walsh

Not sure Fogarty or Brooks will be getting picked for rep teams, so I guess Walsh will only get a shot if one of the first-choice halves is injured. With any luck he'll be ready if he gets a chance.

    2026 recruitment & retention

I take your point, but we are losing players who are not - to put it bluntly - winners. A refresh/reset could be exactly what we need.

He was always ahead of the curve.

    Caleb Navale

Great to see him named this week. But I would also like to see him get actual time on the field. Note to Seibold: Sitting him on the bench to make up the numbers and giving him 10 minutes at the end of the game won't show anybody anything. If you're going to pick him in the side, use him.
