    Post-Game Discussion Roosters V Manly [Round 21, 2024]

When the team was originally picked I thought that the coach had made some very poor selection decisions - mainly by putting Ben T in the centres when it was obvious that he lacks adequate pace. The better choice would have been to keep Ben and Laughton in the second row - where they had...

    Completely agree.

    Pre-Game Manly V Broncos [Round 11, 2024]

Not sure if he is eligible but I would bring in Fulalo to the centres. He looks to have a touch of class and is a try scorer. No doubt he would get a chance if at other clubs e.g. The Dolphins! Keep Ben in the forwards where his defence is needed. Also bring in Harper in the forwards for his...

    Lodge, you Monster

Thought Lodge went OK and believe he will get better with each game. Sipley looks unfit with restricted lateral movement - obviously not fully recovered from Knee injury. But too many prop type forwards in the pack. Next week I would bring in Harper as an edge forward. At least he will tackle...

    Post-Game Discussion Post-Game Discussion - Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

Ben T's centre days are over. Too slow. He is now a forward and has a good future as a forward.

    Pre-Game Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

Thought that Parker had an excellent game. Tackled very effectively throughout the game.

    2026 recruitment & retention

But he would be a great acquisition for Manly.

    Pre-Game Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

Parker had an excellent game last week against the Warriors NSW side. He is an experienced player and so should now be able to handle NRL as a 2nd row forward/lock. If necessary Waddell could easily handle front row if necessary.

    Post-Game Discussion Warriors V Manly [Round 6, 2024]

Paulo is a disaster. Sleep walks, no power, hopeless under high ball. No wonder Easts had him in second grade.

Can Manly win the 2024 Premiership after beating the 3 time Premiers Penrith at Brookie today?

Think Ben's centre days are largely over. He lacks pace and footwork. But is a handy emergency stop-gap.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly v Panthers [Round 5, 2024]

Was at the game and watched a replay later. Thought that our wings were mediocre and are a real concern going forward. Also, Crokers's service was poor and he lacks speed. Way below the standards of every other club dummy-half. With regards to the reseve grade side - thought that Fulalo in the...

Went to school with old school Manly players

Lenny Diett was a class mate of mine. He was always a brilliant schoolboy footballer. Originally played junior league for Dee Why but then got introduced to union at MBHS. He captained the 1st XV in 1956 (which won the comp), and also CHS which whipped GPS that year. He went on to play Union for...

    Corey Waddell

Throughout his first stint at Manly Waddell overall had deficiencies - particularly in attack - where he rarely passed the ball thereby starving outside players. However, whilst at Canterbury I noticed he had clearly improved his ball-playing skills. As his defense and toughness have always been...

    Jaxon Paulo

Was interested to watch Paulo in the Easts match. Generally was underwhelmed by his performance. He seemed to be well 'off the pace' - but possibly due to being out of the NRL for so long. Just hope Manly not paying too much for him. As for TALAU - from what I have seen of him - he is sloppy...

    Kaeo Weekes

Weekes has SPEED plus the necessary footy fundamentals. Has so much potential up- side - crazy to let him go.

    Keppie

Suggest Jake has more errors (penalties, 6 agains), every game than Keppie.
  17. N

    Tommy Talau

Watched Talau last night. Generally seems to move ok, has power, and has a bit of speed off the mark. But also needs some good coaching in the fundamentals of centre 3/4 play - such as draw and pass and the like.

    Move Olakau'atu to Prop/Middle

I agree he should go to the middle position. Out wide he is stifling the attack. Koula is virtually an onlooker he gets so little good ball. Undoubtedly the PRESENT POSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE NOT WORKING!

    Run Koula Run

Agree. Olakauatu is cruelling Koula with his complete lack of ball skills.
