    Ex-players to be referees

    A couple of seasons ago ex-players Paul Mellor, Henry Perenara and Luke Phillips were going to be "fast tracked" into the refereeing ranks. Haven't seen anything else about them since. Have they abandonded the idea or, given the 2 refs this season, will they be putting in an appearance this year?.

    We get the Footy Show here in UK. The first time he was on last year my wife questioned if she'd walked in on them doing a sketch as "that can't be his own hair". Throughout the rest of the season she just took the p*** every time he was on. He moves his head & his hair catches up seconds later.
