Game Day: Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

It’s a high quality game and the Dogs have brought their best in the rushing defence, which is controlling territory. We’ve been very good, missing less tackles than Canterbury. 18/21 completions from us is excellent. My only concern is the Dogs have a clear tactic of shifting the ball around...

All NRL Games [Round 21, 2025]

the old parallel distortion argument will be used to help the NRL weasel out of this one.

Near-miss at training gives Manly glimpse into future

Brooks has really done a fine job of marshalling his edge. Very underrated player. His outside men are getting good ball and he occasionally takes on the line to keep them guessing. He went short for Koula and long for Garrick last week. He can kick when Daly’s marked. I like what he’s doing.

    2026 recruitment & retention

I would have him over Harry Grant. I think he's the best 9 in the competition. Sure, Grant is the fashionable attacking weapon and is obviously elite but Brailey has better service and plays a more complimentary role to his teammates. Grant goes for the big plays and will often come up with...

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

I remember the first couple of months of Seibs time at Manly saw a marked improvement in our contact; it was brutal and I thought we’d turned a corner in defence. For whatever reason, we couldn’t sustain it for too long into the season. The last few weeks have been as close as we’ve come to...

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

this idea that one person has been responsible and/or should be credited with a player’s development is a fallacy in itself. Every player lands in FG, having a history of junior coaches, sometimes dating back to u/6s. Many typically have fathers who love the game (often why the kid is registered...

    Des Hasler Sacked ( AGAIN)

Of course. We’ve seen in the last week with Coldplay’s kiss cam that the world is addicted to controversy. If there was this mysterious ‘other version’ floating around, online for even just a few minutes, it would be duplicated and duplicated and duplicated and go viral. It wouldn’t get taken...

    Jamal Fogarty

There’s a lot of sense to this and I think it could totally be the case; I just hope it is 😎

    Jamal Fogarty

That’s what is exciting about it. We’ve seen the last few weeks what a bit of control has done for the side. We’ve shown a willingness to get into the grind, complete sets and kick to corners and it’s worked. At least we know Fog will endorse a similar approach.

    Des Hasler Sacked ( AGAIN)

And im trying to tell you that it was fake audio. I saw that thing that was taken down and it wasn’t Des.

    Jamal Fogarty

He’s a good replacement but I have the dollar chaser ahead of him as ‘value added’ to a side. Just an opinion of course. I know DCE has shortcoming with overplaying his hand at times but I think he’s one of the elite creative halfbacks in the game. The Raiders attack is nothing special and so...

    Des Hasler Sacked ( AGAIN)

The audio is fake. If it was real, it would be the biggest story in rugby league right now and used to drum up pressure on Des.

I’ve noticed they concede on the inconsequential decisions (to appear impartial) but if it basically decides the game, they’ll fight the good fight and protect themselves at whatever cost.

    Des Hasler Sacked ( AGAIN)

Oh that thing? That’s been all over social media for years and attributed to heaps of coaches. It’s actually an AFL coach from a local game 😂 he goes nuclear and it’s hilarious. It’s a running joke to attribute the audio to losing coaches. I remember Ricky Stuart was the victim a couple of years...

    Post-Game Discussion Storm V Manly [Round 20, 2025]

The reason we lose to the crap teams is all attitude. We often score a soft try or two and go into cruise mode. You can’t do that against any side in the NRL, even the Titans and Newcastle. You can see our intent in our line speed and energy in contact; we kept making it hard for the Storm to...

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

I used to think premiership but we’ve won eight in over 80 years so there has to be more to following the club than that. Wins against Melbourne in Melbourne during seasons of turmoil is cause for a very big celebration!

    The Daly Cherrygraph

The penalty that won the Dogs the game was an absolute howler! On the contrary, It’s disappointing that no one in the call mentioned that Simpkin was incapable of pressuring Grant from marker because of the elbow…it was the correct call given it’s not only an act of foul play, it directly...

I noticed when DCE embraced his teammates on full time, the exchange with Tom was very brief by comparison with some of the others…could be reading into things too much though
