    Lehi the 1 Turbo centre

With Oka out m, Turbo is a big body defending with DCE. DCE is not there for defence and I notice that Turbo apart from one brain snap defends well there.

    Jake T.

Jake gets $400k cap free as long term player next year so the club fans can rate him as a $400k player rather than $800. At this stage of his career he would be a great 30 min prop and then have a spell. Club needs to find that younger 13 and Jake can give great service. Jake can be our Nathan...

Inside the meeting that could redefine Trbojevic’s NRL career

Saab gets the short straw out of them all. Good problem to have depth to cover the back 5. Hope Garrick gives Turbo the 100 pages instruction booklet on how to defend when next to DCE.

Tom Turbo .. interesting if true

I think they should let 18th man play for club and if injury new player comes in.

    Passion for the club

Best player to coach would be Croker. Fits the mould of Bellamy and Robinson, played with the best but not noted as the best player. True grit and hard work mixed with talent.

    The Clean Out 2025 Edition

Jazz to start at 13, Bully and Tak starting props, Jake and Brown/Spiley rotation. Hoppa fullback and Turbo 14 to add spark. Read Mahoney next year to start at hooker with Crocker off the bench to play second hooker and middle of needed.

    2026 recruitment & retention

I’m not aware of any up and comes in our NSW cup or juniors ready for a step up. We might need to think outside the box and bring in 2 or 3 of the best Super league 22-25 year olds and look for that more mobile forward pack that’s use to playing an open style of play.

    Burbo

Talua could play a bench role, could fill backs and second row at a pinch. Outside thought, Turbo as a 14?

    A positive omen

Talking of omens I was driving my car and just before I got home two wheels fell off, didn’t think much of it until I watched tonight’s game.

Maybe worse than the Eels game ??

We came out in the second half with 5 hit ups and a kick, no ball movement or second phase play, we probably completed at 90% but invited Newy back into the game. A lot of positional changes during the game admittedly but Manly lost the game rather than Newcastle winning it.

Luke Brooks - the plate is hot

Brookes plays his role and defends well, if he was injured I would be tempted to try Kolua for a week or two as an experiment, Kolua is not a kicker that I know of but would play straight and his speed would be on show.

Maybe worse than the Eels game ??

DCE to roosters, Fogarty to Manly pre 30 June 😁, some game management would be great.

    Rebuild at what cost?

If we could pick up Reed Mahoney and say Moeaki Fotuaika from Titans, how do you pay for this…Turbo & Crooker retire/move on. Spine 1 Hoopa/Koula, 6 Brooks/Large, 7 Fogarty/Walsh, 9 Mahoney/Maaguati.
  20. 3

    Joey Walsh

Fogarty, Walsh, large, Brooks is our current picks for 2026-27. Hopefully bit of competition for spots gives us the best players.
