    [Resurrected] Andrew Davey

We've sure got a lot of tall timber in the team now - Andrew Davey, Zac Saddler, Jason Saab, Ben and Tom, Curtis, Olakau'atu, Paseka - reminds me of that mid-90s team (but more so, since average heights have increased).

What an excellent bloke - comes across so well and has the right values. Hope to see him succeed this year and to the culture at the club.

    Club news

Good piece and fairly balanced summary. Interesting the confirmation of Josh Schuster concerns on pathway to first grade and that he will have playmaking duties in 21 along with KF.

    New Winger - Jason Saab

Gigantoor!!! Mate that is awesome, haven't heard that one in about 50 years (and I am 55). Just jumped onto youtube and found the old theme: Hilarious - thanks for the memories!

    New Winger - Jason Saab

He signed a contract in good faith and accepts that he is bound to see it through?

Thanks mate. Very helpful and so pleased we finally have the CEO we have probably been waiting for.

    COE and Member Council Update

Wheel and Mitch - I am curious, was Des there and, if so, did he speak? Would be curious to get a take on where he is at after season like that. Also, any comments or atmospherics on working with the NRL now under the new leadership vs previous years?

2000 extra members to get to 15k would be excellent. Not sure how achievable - i.e. a 15% uplift. Expansion of the catchment to include North Shore would be good for the club and good for League in Sydney .... an oldie but a goodie of an idea - would require some vision/courage from NRL...

Manly Sea Eagles 1998-1999: What happened?

Agree with this in so many ways, and proud of Manly as well as the other loyal clubs. But ... the funds put in should have been documented and treated as a loan, and paid back to the club by the ARL as part of the eventual settlement when the NRL was formed. I know things were different...

Manly Sea Eagles 1998-1999: What happened?

That was also my one game of the year, back from China, took my whole family and still have the tickets. What a day!

Manly Sea Eagles 1998-1999: What happened?

I've always wondered about this. How much Manly money was used to fend off Super League? Was any every paid back by the ARL? Was there ever an explanation of this to members? Did any other clubs throw money in like this? It was good that Bozo and Phil Gould were at the forefront of the...

    Jason Saab

Totally stoked. Add him to some of our young brigade and there is cause to hope after an absolute bugger of a season. Well done Des.

    Absolutely spot on.

    Tom T

Strongly agree. Its a matter of prinicpal now. Were he to be injured in Origin, there goes another Manly season. Support all players getting the rep games, but he needs to turn up for Manly and make sure next year is a good one.

    Summary of the Kids

Anyone know how fast Harper is - wondering how he would do at winger? Shame he is not a bit taller (180cm according to the website). When is Jorge signed until? Wondering if last night was his last game for us. Much appreciation for what he has done over the years, but Des can't let him run...

    It is Schuster time

Lets give Hoppa a bit more of a chance to show what he can do. Not all these guys are going to star in their first game or two. Having said that, Josh Schuster looks like the playmaker we have been waiting for since KF left.

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Tigers [Round 17, 2020]

Guaca for Jetski and Schuster for Waddell. I ask again ... did Toff Sipley get caught taking money from the til? ... Des must want him to move on.

    Moses Suli re-signs with Manly

Agree about Sirro running inside of DCE passes, and then just gets tackled. Must be part of the game plan. Very predictable - would be good to see him use his size and skills for a bit more variety.

    Lussick released!

He played well for us and I was surprised that Barrett released him. Shame he originally left - sure could have used him in the 2013 GF towards the end of the game.
