We have a pack that commands no respect, we couldn't score a point in the second half against wooden spoon favourites & we were almost at full strength against an under strength wooden spoon favourite. That about sums up the squad at the moment.- Buck

Passion for the club
Kiwi Eagle, re your last paragraph. I know exactly how you feel. I've been a supporter since 1972 & had never waivered in my support or advocacy for the club & its personnel. In recent years I have struggled to garner that same passion regardless of a win, draw or loss. Something needs to change.- Buck

The appointment of Meninga as the initial Bears coach is a major mistake on the NRL's part. He hasn't coached club football for ages & when he did, was not successful in any significant way. Agree. Contrast Penn with the passion & involvement of Politis at the Roosters. He seems to be involved in all that happens at that club (irrespective of whether you like him or not), where as Penn appears as mostly 'the owner' & nothing more. That was a listless effort from the sea eagles with much of the play looking like casual training drills. Tommy looked like he is running at about 80%. Again, I see no improvement from last year under Seibold.- Buck

Agree. I think his greatest trait is that he can take an average player & get the best from the (e.g. Nick Meaney). But he couldn't get the magic working for NSW & he hasn't tested himself at a range of clubs to demonstrate his ability to replicate his Storm success. Great coach though in what...- Buck

Above & beyond anything, these questions have to be asked. The decline has been dreadful & our captain appears more of a passenger as opposed to the steering force he has been in the past.
