The Jazz thread ... all that Jazz

He has been one of our better performers this season but we need a complete overhaul of the pack. Tevaga will do a job but he is not elevating us to premiership contention. I also think Brown’s re-signing after one solid year is anecdotal evidence of the gamble one takes with forwards on the...

    Tallyn Da Silva

I heard a loan deal was initially floated but then an unconditional release was agreed upon.

    Tallyn Da Silva

I think we are good chance. We’ve got two members of staff from Westfields Sports, who I imagine worked with Da Silva. We’ve got a clear opening, whereas Para have Smith. Interestingly, I heard we’ve previously gone after both players but missed out. If Da Silva signs with Eels, chances are...

    [Resurrected] Josh Schuster

Not having a go at you personally, but I think that's a bit unfair to our club. We paid him well, offered him big contracts, and gave him numerous mental health leave and support. He and his manager requested a 'fresh start'. He wasn't cast off. The club thought a bit of time away and a new...

    [Resurrected] Josh Schuster

I feel for Josh. I actually think there's a good chance that his mental health is not affecting his football, rather his football is affecting his mental health, which could account for his 'stepping away'. This is a kid who was highly touted and had the rugby league world at his feet. He was...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

    Sack Seibold Immediately

Yeah I heard from a pretty reliable source that DCE wasn’t a fan of Seibs. I know nothing about Trbo’s thought on him though.

    Sack Seibold Immediately

that's why I said 'only plummet more'. I get that some people are not worried if we win the spoon, but I'll be devastated. This sort of media noise usually coincides with disaster, not a kick up the backside as a catalyst for a climb up the ladder.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

100% - it's easy to 'honour' a handshake deal when you're having them with the hottest commodities in the game. It's a different story when the player's form plummets and they're no longer helping track towards premiership glory.

    Sack Seibold Immediately

Here we go again. Letting it play out in the media is not the way forward. All it does is place an additional layer of pressure on everyone. I can see us completely imploding from here. It's eerily like the Broncos under Seibs; they scrape into the finals and the following year their defence...

    The Haumole Bible.

A big advantage is that we’ve signed the guy for 8 seasons and the last thing we need his shoulder reconstructed because that makes him even more susceptible to shoulder injuries in the coming years. It’s very good news.

We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

Does anyone believe Ennis even wants to be a head coach? It’s pretty rare for media personalities to give up the privileged lifestyle that comes with broadcasting, to face the pressure cooker of first grade coaching; not to mention the hours that the job demands.

We are Laughing stock of the NRL

Everyone knows what stepping down really means. Remember when Trent Barrett did it at the Bulldogs? It’s a publicity stunt designed to protect the dignity of all concerned. If you want, I can run the spoon through a bandsaw and Seibs can have half and Gentle can take the other off cut.

We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

I agree with you as to the reasons we spread the ball and I agree that it's a fault of the coaching staff. But it's not working, so lets try something else. We're flogging a dead horse. I'd like to see our halves play straight and at the line; put someone in between defenders and play for some...

We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

I think a lot of the defensive issues stem from our attacking mindset. I noticed we started OK the other night but after Garrick’s soft try, we kept throwing the ball around like it was a game of touch football and I think it impacts on the side’s willingness to engage physically in the battle...

We are Laughing stock of the NRL

Yeah I’m no Seibs hater but he had a lot to do with that spoon. Just because he wasn’t head coach at the back end of the year, he still had a significant role to play in the outcome of the season. Just being sacked mid year causes all sorts of problems.

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

The semi final against the Dogs secured his future and it was announced in the off season.

I think Talau is better than Faulalo and should be Saab’s replacement when Hoppa returns.

    New coach Poll

Put some youth around them and be OK with maybe not winning a comp for a few years. Instead, he tried to put an experienced pack of bargain buys around them and the results speak for themselves. I have it on good authority that Brooks was purchased and Latu Fainu was let go because Seibs...
