I think you've tried to read way too far into what I've said here. When I said political movement I meant "a group of people working together to achieve a political goal" I.e. working class players wanting to play without the risk of financial ruin and by we, I mean individuals. I'm not sure if you're attempting trivializing the issue as the players saw it or highlight that those wanting to implementing the idea were likely looking at things from a fairly privileged position - one that is one not exposed to or affected by religious dogma or family pressure.- MuzztheEagle

Not intended to be divisive. But, had they put any thought (and consultation) into it they would have quickly seen the problems it could create. 100% agree. Personally, what I would like to see is for the NRL and it's clubs to encourage players and staff to show support for inclusion. How good would it be for a player to wear rainbow socks or armband every round or for coaches to sit in the box proudly wearing a pride badge...and without...- MuzztheEagle

Sure...and I'd agree. I don't think we are struggling for enough new fans to replace the old and the fanbase is still growing without these (woke?) initiatives. But I do think those running the game don't just want it to survive the want it BIGGER than ever and there are plenty involved at clubs...- MuzztheEagle
