    What experience exactly does Lawton have as a 7? I can't find anything that suggests he has played 7 in NRL

    Thing is though Lawton is a part time hooker and Croker has had 1 season there. It definitely isn't ideal letting go depth in this position unless of course they know something we don't.

    Agreed! The only way this is smart is if we have a better replacement already lined up! OR we are extremely confident we will get Fainu back sooner than expected. We are already light in #9 depth. Say Croker and Lawton are injured, who plays #9?

    I'm more concerned with centre depth. We have Harper and Parker who realistically should be better next year, especially Harper who has a lot of potential. We have a lack of depth at centre unless Tuipulotu and/or Koula can have a break out year. We have lost Funa and Suli who were both centres...

    We have one in Cust. He is a running hooker with a good short kicking game but Des won't use him, Hope he is working on his defence as he could be an ace up our sleeve next year under the new rules!

    I dont think its a talent issue with Cust, more a defensive issue. Des likes a defensive 9 and Cust is a poor defender, its a shame because if he could defend with his attacking skills he would be a premier #9

    I think Harper and Schuster suffered 2nd year syndrome in the latter part of this season. Most people don't play such a long season in their first year.

    That's not right mate. IF he was off contract in 2023 as you say then he would be a free agent as of yesterday! Can he only activate a get out clause if they win a comp? otherwise he will be a knight in 23 and 24
