    The Life Of Brian (Kelly)

I don't think there is any Manly supporter who doesn't agree with Kelly having a lot of bad games over the last few months. He wasn't alone on that score! My question is - was he trying his guts out or was he totally disinterested and couldn't give a s^&t? I'm sure you agree he was trying...

    The Life Of Brian (Kelly)

True. I do it myself during a game - but if the player is trying, I soon forget about it. I don't keep harping on it until I bore everyone else to death. Why don't we save our angst for the scum, slime, etc!!!!!

    The Life Of Brian (Kelly)

Haha totally agree The subject poster (who obviously believes he is a passionate fan and has a right to say anything 1000 times) is in reality an embarrassment to other Manly fans. Any player who wears the maroon and white deserves support, especially when they are busting their arises each...

    URGENT

Very good team but I think the Blacktown experiment is over. Only a few non-Manly players in the team.

Kapow - You are world class

When Marty is off the field, our attack up the middle and in the opponent's quarter always seems a little pedestrian. When he is there, we look much more dangerous as he draws defenders and either makes a tackle bust or looks for an offload. 200+ metres tonight (usually with a defender or two...

    Lottoland tonight

Yes, I was in the Jane Try Stand as well in row G and had to put up the umbrella just before kick-off as was getting soaked because the rain was coming in sideways. Just imagine someone throwing buckets of water at you!!

Quicker than expected return for Tom?

I saw Tom at a Men of League lunch today and he told the crowd that the injuries weren't as bad as first thought. I also played golf with one of the Manly forwards and he said there may be a chance of Tom being fit for the Newcastle game. Like everybody on here, I hope we only bring him back...

    Changes in 18 .

I really don't think we have much of the Stewart and Matai money left to spend next year. The two Turbos had huge upgrades to their contracts (900K & 800K respectively, if I remember correctly) and are now both effectively "marquee players". As such, you would think that would be around $900K...

Horhay is the best player in the NRL at....

...giving our forwards a breather by doing the tough hit ups early each set. He does so much work in this area that it is enough to keep him in the team for as long as he likes. The fact that he knows where the try line is and can really hurt in tackles is just a bonus!

Game Day: Manly v Rabbitohs [Round 9, 2017]

As much as I liked Gutho, Jamie B, Peta, Parcell, Tommy Symonds etc (and they are all good honest players), does anyone think any of them would make this team?

And to think that Perrett and Lussick will be available at some stage. Wow. Great effort by the boys and Trent is really developing a great team!

    AFB you Beast

Agree - he takes his hit ups slower than Nate (hard to imagine but true!) but his leg drive is enormous.

How about you do all of us a favour and support another "better" team!!!!!

Don't think it's the coaching that was a problem there!

    Next week Dragons (Pre-Game Discussion)

Their attack is based on their forwards carving up the middle. They've been successful so far this year and have some very hard running forwards. We need to stop that go forward and the resulting quick play the balls and we should be ok. But I don't think that's going to be too easy.

    The Kieran Forum

I too hated the circus that was his contract negotiations and I believe that he and a few other players eventually became a cancer to the team. I hated him when he left but it's been a couple of years now and i can't forget that he was a crowd favourite (including mine) for a long time. He's...

Yes, but none of the Knights or the Mexicans was a Manly premiership winner! I bet you loved him in October 2011!

    Matai and Stewart

Haha - yes, it hasn't hurt their development based on the way they are playing at the moment. But, if all was harmonious and Steve and Brett were there as mentors, you couldn't dispute that they should be even better.

    Matai and Stewart

Yes, we don't know the full story and I am hoping that there is a directive by the club for them to stay away. Doesn't make any sense though as it shouldn't make any difference to the medical exemption claims. If their absence is to help team harmony, then that is really sad.
