    Yeah it’s a long game.

And the players association whinging about player welfare and having too many games and the season being too long.

Thats what will happen when the comp goes to 20 teams.

The field goal was actually headed right between the posts too but was deflected by the oncoming defence.

    Shafted once again

Once the league gets 20 teams in, things will be a lot fairer. Less NRL games, play each other just once, more time for origin and other rep games. That’s what their stated aim is.

    Shafted once again

And yet no one can come up with a credible alternative. I agree it does throw a spanner in the season but it is the most lucrative money spinner for the NRL and it’s a massive point of difference for the sport. So it’s not going anywhere. And all other alternatives have serious issues.

    Shafted once again

Agree. Although not a hell of a lot happened even when we had a decent local member.

    Too much speed?

I agree. Saab’s yardage carries have improved markedly in the last season and a half. I believe it’s been a real focus of his because prior to that he was getting ragdolled every carry. That rarely happens now and although he still isn’t the best yardage winger around, he’s a lot better.

Surely you aren’t naive enough to believe the only reason players move to clubs is because they LOVE them??? It’s almost always about the money - particularly when you’re nearing the end of your career. Do you LOVE where you work? If you do you’re probably one of the lucky few. Most of us work...

I think genetics might have some say in it. We haven’t managed to keep Turbo on the field very much unfortunately.

Don’t think many are blaming him for leaving for more money, it’s how he’s gone about it.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

That’s actually a good point. I’m as dismayed at DCEs behaviour over the past few months as anyone, but we can’t get up him for making himself available for SOO and not be annoyed at Turbo if he also makes himself available. Different reasons, but I feel they both owe the club.

The memory of Keith Titmus being shamefully used for political gain

Since mine and others comments have been deleted froM the Keith Titmus thread, I think it’s a relevant discussion point worthy of its own thread, seeing as Keith and his family were and are a valuable part of our club and Sophie Scamps is the sitting member for our area, seeking reelection. Her...

Very good value when you consider contracts like Dylan Brown’s.
